I sat down to read my Bible with my coffee this morning, like I do most days.
Joshua, chapter 5.
There I was—standing with Joshua just before Jericho.
Right after Passover.
After the men had been circumcised with flint knives… and had healed.
(Right. Ouch.)
And then it happens.

A man stands before Joshua, sword drawn.
Joshua asks the question that feels so familiar:
“Are you for us, or for our adversaries?”
I had just posted earlier about our differences.
Lines drawn. Sides taken.
And there it was.
Not an answer about sides—
but something deeper.
There is something about that line that stays with you:
Are we on God’s side?
